 Update & Prayer Letter
*1. Mission Church Downtown Sucre, Bolivia - Keeping the Main Thing the Main Thing*
While we are here in the states reporting to churches we have been blessed beyond measure; our church is doing what they have been taught to do! For example: A few weeks ago two members from our church (the young lady in charge of our children's Sunday school and her mother)decided on their own to go to a sporting event being held near our church and together they passed out 1000 gospel tracts.
Not long after that, the lady's group got together, and for one of their activities went to the local hospital, passed out tracts and invited folks to church. This past Sunday the entire church had dinner on the grounds after preaching which was focused on reaching their world with the Gospel.
In September I will be with the church in Bolivia for special meetings and training sessions, Lord willing.
*Related Prayer requests: * That the recent civil unrest would not escalate and traveling will not be hindered. Visa concerns.
Also, I may be asking you to help us with the purchase of a building for the Bolivian congregation. They do not want us to give them a building--they know they must work and pray. But I do not think they would be opposed to a little help. We will keep you updated regarding this...in the meantime, please pray for wisdom.
*2. BIG TRACT BLESSINGS - Taking the Great Commission Personally*
For those of you who do not know, the BIG TRACT is a pictorial and
multi-language Gospel tract that has made it easier to introduce others to Jesus and tell them His Good News. Even if there were not one other person that supported the BIG TRACT project I would still find a way to publish it because they help ME personally obey the Great Commission of God and win people to Christ!
Our church in Bolivia is filled with new Christians who have never before "gone soul-winning". The BIG TRACT gives our people "instant rapport" with fellow Bolivians...in other words the BIG TRACT is in itself something to talk about and it is all about God, Jesus and the Gospel.
The two incidents of soul-winning (paragraph above) had the BIG TRACT in common. Our folks use them all the time!
*Related Prayer Requests*: For visitors to be brought to church and to
Christ via the BIG TRACT.
Also for the next two BIG TRACT projects:
English/Arabic/Spanish edition for inner city USA and French/English edition for Canada.
Mongolian/English is ready for printing - other languages in the planning stages.
*3. The Foolishness of Preaching - God Knows what He is Doing*
Sunday before last we were privileged to preach in Ohio and a precious girl came forward to receive Christ as Savior! I do not know about you but that causes me rejoice.
*4. This is where I say thanks.*
Thank you for giving to God and allowing me to teach about, write about, sing about, publish, and preach Christ. Thanks to you, there is a little growing and learning Baptist church in downtown Sucre, Bolivia, where there was nothing before, not to mention the scores of souls going to heaven that were before hopeless.
There is a happy family (us) that is well taken care of because of your prayers, encouragement and kind support.
*There is still a whole world to win to Christ...Here am I - keep sending me!*

PS: We are looking to buy a newer (reliable!) car that is good on gas. Most of my traveling and reporting to churches in the states will be solo so we don't need a lot of room. Let me know if you have any leads on such a vehicle. Thank you.
